Pampakshetra of Kishkindha, now known as Hampi, is a village in Karnataka in India. It is located within the ruins of the city of Vijayanagara, the former capital of Vijayanagara Empire and is situated on the banks of the River Tungabhadra
Hampi is about 350 kms from the city of Bangalore. And is the most searched historical place in Karnataka, according to Google.
Hampi stands by far one of my favorite places in Karnataka.
