Floating forest – a cool concept

One of the cool concepts that I came across as part of my things to see in Sydney research was the floating forest. It is a 102 year old ship in the Homebush Bay suburb of Sydney. The ship is the SS Ayrfield and is about 1140 tonnes. It now has fully grown mangrove trees. Isn’t it a pretty cool idea? Grow trees on a ship wreck, which then becomes a floating forest.
