Iceland – definitely a paradise for taking pictures and making memories. Iceland is a Nordic island nation. Boasting with its dramatic landscapes of volcanoes and glaciers, Iceland is known as the “Land of fire and ice”. It is by far the safest countries I have visited. The people are warm and friendly even though the weather is harsh and extreme.
- Iceland – A traveler’s paradise: It is famous for its dramatic landscapes. Boasting with its volcanoes, glaciers, geysers and hot springs, it stands out as one of the most beautiful countries in the World.
Cool stuff I did:
- Inside a volcano! ‘Thrihnukagigur’, literally translates to ‘Three Peaks Crater’. The volcano was discovered in the year 1974 and is the only volcano in the World where people are allowed to take an elevator into a magma chamber.
- Seljalandfoss – Walk behind waterfalls! Seljalandfoss is a very popular waterfalls in the Southern part of Iceland. It is one of the natural wonders in Iceland and is about 120 kilometers from the capital city Reykjavik. The waterfalls is accessible either by car or as part of a day tour.
- Snorkeling between tectonic plates – Silfra is a rift formed in the tectonic plates between North American and Eurasian plates. Snorkeling in Silfra is a unique experience because of the clear crystal waters. The rift offers exceptional visibility of 70 to 80 meters.
