Muogamarra Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve, located in the northern part of Sydney. This reserve is home for many wild flowers. The access to this reserve is limited only for 6 weeks in a year. It lies about 40 kilometers from Sydney and is on the southern side of Hawkesbury River.
Public Transport – The nearest train station is at Cowan, which is about 6 kilometers from Muogamarra. There are frequent trains between Sydney Central and Cowan station.
Entry Fee – The nature reserve has an entry fee of $15 per person. Note: The entry fee has to be paid by cash only.
Walks – There are numerous walks in the nature reserve. My friends and I did two different walks – Lloyd trig and point loop (a total of 8 kilometers). More information can be found at National Parks website.
