Safety for solo female travelers

As a standard practice, it is advisable to hike with a companion. This ensures preparedness for unforeseen situations, particularly in mountainous terrain. While the towns and locations in the Blue Mountains are generally safe, exercise caution near the edges and refrain from standing close to cliff edges, especially during windy conditions, as they can pose significant dangers.

If you are traveling alone, then Meetup, one of the travel apps, is the best place to find hiking buddies.
