Brunei is famous for ship wrecks. It has many of the ships that have gone down and are spectacular sites for divers. While most of these sites are for advanced divers, there are some of them for open water divers as well.

One such wreck is the Dolphin Wreck. This is a ship wreck that sunk only 5 years ago. So, this wreck is steady and strong and not dangerous. Supposedly the ship was carrying stones and that resulted in breaking the ship and sinking it. The government cut the front part completely and removed it, allowing the rear of the ship to sink. And this is the part that is available for divers. The open water divers are allowed to dive only the top two decks and the bottom of the ship goes up to 22-24 metres.

I dived to a depth of 15 metres and for 35 minutes. It is definitely the best ship wreck dive I have done so far, even though this is just the second ship wreck dive.

The diving centre ‘Oceanic Quest‘ is owned by Steven and I must say that the whole staff is amazing. Steven himself is a very genuine and a nice person.

And my instructor Roger was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly, and he allowed the divers to be themselves exploring the site on their own, not forcing things on anyone. He kept a watch on us all the time but never pushed us or got upset for anything. He is one of the best instructors I have had till date.
