The Blue mountains

The Blue Mountains is a range of mountains in the west of Sydney. The reason why it is known as the Blue Mountains is because of the blue haze that the mountain range produces due to the dense Eucalyptus trees. Safety for solo female travelers

Traveling in and around Sydney is absolutely safe for solo female travelers. I have traveled alone on most of these trips and have never had any issues. But having said that, I have been cautious at all times, especially at nights. Like any other place, it is best to know your surroundings and whereabouts.

Download Emergency Plus app for any unforeseen situations. The app does not require mobile network and it shows the location of where you are. This is useful to let the emergency services know, in case there is any emergency.

If you are a tourist, always make sure to have a good comprehensive travel insurance to cover yourself in case of any emergency.

  1. Taking the train from Sydney for day trips sounds perfect to me. Great that so many of them can use the Opal transportation card. It seems perfect for a trip to Kiama to see the blowhole. Or to visit Newcastle for the beaches. Great to know that the train scheduled are synched to the ferry service to Danger Island. We will definitely check out the train trips when we visit Sydney next.

  2. I haven’t been to Australia yet – mainly since it’s so very far from Europe, but now it’s basically impossible due to the pandemic. However, I’m keeping this post for later – when it’s possible to travel the world again. These trips sound just amazing and not to be missed out on.
