Is Rayakottai Fort Trek Safe for Solo Female Trekkers?

I would discourage solo hiking on this hill, even for male travelers or hikers. It’s especially not recommended for solo female travelers due to the low foot traffic, posing potential risks. I recommend opting for a trekking agency or joining a group of friends for added safety. Trekking agencies are beneficial as they address safety concerns comprehensively.

Additionally, as a general practice, having a trekking buddy is advisable for unforeseen circumstances.

When choosing a trekking agency, ensure it is reputable. With numerous trekking agencies in Bangalore, not all may be legally registered. Therefore, reading reviews and conducting thorough research before finalizing your choice is essential.

My Reviews

Trek

The summit offers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the surrounding towns and villages. The captivating ruins of the fort on top provide a fascinating glimpse into history, making it worthwhile to spend a day hiking this hill. It’s essential to note that this destination is particularly appealing to hikers and trekking enthusiasts. Please be aware that only a few fort remnants can be found at the peak.

Trekking Agency

After extensive research and participating in numerous treks with various trekking agencies, I can confidently express my preference for BMC. Several factors contribute to my positive experience on this particular trek:

  • The two trek leads were exceptionally excellent and friendly, enhancing the overall journey.
  • The majority of the group members exhibited commendable behavior, although one individual, unfortunately, behaved poorly by littering and dirtying the surroundings.
  • BMC prioritized the safety of the trekkers, with the trek leads equipped with a first aid kit.
  • The lunch provided by BMC was not only fulfilling but also delicious.
  • In summary, the overall experience with BMC was delightful.

The Rayakottai Fort Trek offers a captivating historical exploration and natural beauty blend.
