I am a huge fan of the Thai cuisine. I love the flavours and the dishes that are prepared in a Thai restaurant. Honestly, I have never had a bad Thai food ever. I mostly love all the Thai dishes I eat but there are three of them in particular I love.
Spicy minced chicken
Sailors Thai is a famous Thai restaurant in The Rocks, Sydney. I happened to visit this restaurant with a friend. Being a Chickenaterian (:D , word coined by me, which means I eat only Chicken and not any other meat), I ordered for the main dish – Spicy minced chicken and steamed rice. This dish is made up of the minced chicken with chilli, garlic, lemon grass and the wild ginger.
The dish when arrived, not only looked beautiful but also tasted really good. It was absolutely delightful and mouth watering. Definitely a must try for the foodies who enjoy Thai food.
Chilli Basil Chicken
Chilli Basil Chicken is one of my favourite dishes in Thai cuisine. I try this dish almost every single time I visit a Thai restaurant. And I have never been disappointed with the taste as I have never eaten a badly cooked Thai food.
Chat Thai restaurant which is in Sydney makes one of the best wok fried dishes. In Chat Thai the dish is known as ‘Grapao gai sub’. The dish is made up of stir fried minced chicken, fresh chilli and holy basil, which is served with steamed rice and half boiled egg. A fresh tender coconut juice to cool your taste buds down would definitely compliment the dish. 🙂
I would totally recommend this spicy stir fried dish.
Miang Kham (Thai beetle leaf)
Miang Kham is a traditional snack from Thailand. It is mixture of lemon grass, gangplank, lemon, ginger, red onion, mint, shredded coconut, peanut and fried onion.
I tasted Miang Kham in a small, not so fancy Thai restaurant called Khobkhun situated in Lindfield in Sydney. The mix of lemon and mint gave a tangy taste and the onion added a little bit of spice, with some crunchy taste of peanut. It was delicious and mouth watering. I would definitely recommend this snack to be tried at Khobkhun.
