Phuket & Phi Phi in 3 days

Phuket is Thailand’s third largest island and has another 32 small islands along its coast. It lies in the Andaman Sea. Phuket was formerly known as ‘Thalang’. The letter ‘h’ is silent in when pronouncing the word ‘Phuket’.

Phi Phi islands are the largest group of islands in Thailand. The largest island of the group is Ko Phi Phi Don, which is a non volcanic island is mostly made of limestone.

My friend Akshata and I visited Phuket and Phi Phi Islands for 3 days. We stayed at one of the beautiful resorts – Karon Phunaka Resort & Spa.

Day 1 – we visited the Karon Beach and the Phuket Fanta Sea.

Day 2 – we took the ferry and visited the Phi Phi Islands.

Day 3 was the exciting day of all. We hired a motor bike and drove around Phuket. We visited:

  • Kata Noi Beach, which was one of the private and less crowded beaches in Phuket
  • Karon View Point
  • Prompthep Cape
  • The Big Buddha
  • Wat Chalong Temple
  • Phuket Town
