The Adelong Gold Mill Ruins is a heritage listed site in New South Wales (NSW). It is in the Tumut region and is one of the must visits while visiting the Snowy Mountains. Adelong provides a great significance in the history of Gold Rush period. It is believed that gold can be found even now in the creeks.
One can walk around the ruins, even though there is a viewing platform from the hill to see the panoramic views of the ruins. The gold ruins is around 410 kilometres from Sydney and this makes an ideal 2-3 days road trip from Sydney. The site is free to visit.
