About Akshayakalpa
Established as a company in 2010, Akshayakalpa Organic stands as India’s pioneering certified organic milk brand, with its headquarters in Tiptur. Rooted in the ethos of farmer entrepreneurship, the company was founded to address the economic challenges plaguing dairy and agricultural farming.
Driven by a vision articulated on their website, Akshayakalpa aspires to foster a healthier and more sustainable food ecosystem through collaborative efforts with farmer entrepreneurs. Their operations extend across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where they actively engage with local farmers.
Despite not owning any dairy farms themselves, Akshayakalpa collaborates with farmers to establish small-scale organic dairy setups owned and operated by the farmers. This model not only empowers farmers but also contributes to promoting organic farming practices and producing high-quality organic milk.

Harvest Vegetables from the Fields
One of the farm’s most captivating activities involves harvesting fresh vegetables from the fields. All produce cultivated here is organic and devoid of chemicals. The fields employ a diverse range of gardening techniques to nurture the vegetables. Before the harvest, a knowledgeable staff member led us through the fields, elucidating the various methods employed in vegetable cultivation and the rationale behind each approach.
Take a Farm Walk and an Educational Tour
The farm boasts abundant trees and plantations, cultivating a diverse range of fruits and vegetables. Our journey through the farm was guided by attentive staff members who eagerly shared insights into the sustainable farming practices implemented, including the biogas setup and the cultivation of various trees and plantations. Along the way, we were invited to experience the therapeutic sensation of walking barefoot in some regions of the farm, adding an extra dimension of relaxation to our visit.
Learn About the Automated Cow Milking Process
Witnessing the cow milking process, especially the automated method, was entirely new to me. It proved to be one of the most enlightening aspects of the farm visit. Guided by a local veterinarian and attentive staff, we were given an in-depth demonstration of the milking process and the subsequent processing of the milk. Amidst the informative session, one amiable cow engaged with us, adding a touch of warmth to the experience. Additionally, we were graciously offered the chance to sample raw milk, further enriching our understanding of the farm’s operations.
Experience Camping in a Spacious Tent
Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life to embrace a more minimalist lifestyle is always a refreshing experience. And what better way to immerse oneself in minimalism than by staying in tents? Despite the emphasis on simplicity, the camping tents set up at the farm are surprisingly spacious, easily accommodating more than three people. Equipped with beds and bedsheets, the tents ensure a comfortable night’s sleep amidst nature’s embrace.
Note: Remember to bring your blankets, as they are not provided with the tents.
Taste and Buy Their Organic Dairy Products
Renowned as India’s leading producer of organic goods, Akshayakalpa offers a delectable range of dairy products. During our visit, the knowledgeable staff guided us through their product lineup, detailing the meticulous processes involved in their production. We were introduced to various tempting offerings, from milk and curd to yogurt and cheese. Their smoked cheddar cheese was particularly irresistible, evoking mouthwatering delight.
Moreover, Akshayakalpa provides convenient access to their products through their mobile app. Customers can easily place orders for their desired items by downloading the app. Additionally, the brand has partnered with Big Basket, further expanding accessibility for those seeking to indulge in their wholesome organic delights.
Feast on Local and Authentic Village Food
Throughout our stay, we were treated to delicious and authentic village cuisine. The meals were refreshingly simple, showcasing various flavours without overwhelming spice. Each day, they brought a new assortment of dishes, offering a delightful reminder to savour fresh, locally sourced fare. Notably, the vegetables used in the preparation were harvested from Akshayakalpa’s organic farm, underscoring a profound respect for local ingredients and sustainable farming practices.
Have Fun by Playing Village Games
Transported back to the carefree days of childhood, we immersed ourselves in a nostalgic array of village games set up at the farm. While my friend and I relished the simple joy of the swings, other guests enthusiastically engaged in activities like catapults, archery, bow and arrow, and even coconut tree climbing. These diversions proved to be particularly beloved among the visiting children, adding an extra layer of delight to their farm experience.
Unwind at a Bonfire
Like many, I have a deep fondness for bonfires. There’s something magical about basking in the warmth of the flames, sharing stories, and witnessing the joyous camaraderie of others. During our stay, the thoughtful staff arranged a bonfire for all the guests to gather around. My friend and I sat on one of the cemented benches nearby, observing as the children enthusiastically danced to the lively music. It was undeniably one of the most memorable highlights of our time at the farm.
See the Sky Full of Stars
The farm boasts an exceptional lack of light pollution, making it one of the prime spots in India for stargazing, mainly to catch a glimpse of the awe-inspiring Milky Way. As my friend and I returned from the bonfire to our tents, we were treated to an uninterrupted vista of the night sky. The sheer abundance of stars was staggering, with countless twinkling points of light stretching out before us, a breathtaking spectacle that left us in awe of the vastness of the universe.
Listen to the Peacocks
There’s no better way to kickstart a day than being gently roused by the melodious calls of peacocks. The farm has numerous wild peacocks and peahens that freely roam the grounds. If fortune smiles upon you, you might enjoy encountering these majestic birds during your strolls.
