In spite of being in Sydney for more than 2 years, I had never done the Bondi to Coogee walk. And I was aching to do this walk – like desperately.

One fine Sunday, five of us – Mukul, Akshata, Prashant, Amit and myself, decided to do the walk after sunrise. Even though we started at 4:50 AM, due to the railway track work and bad planning, we could not make it to sunrise :/ . We finally started our walk at Bondi Beach only by 6:30 AM or 7 AM.

The views during the walk were spectacular. The breeze from the ocean and the freshness in the morning air was something to die for. We passed through three more beaches – Tamarama, Bronte, and Clovely, before reaching Coogee. A part of the walk was also through a cemetery.

Whilst Amit, Mukul and I took a break at the Clovely beach, Akshata and Prashant continued their walk to Coogee. The three of us played with the waves, splashing water at each other. It was magical. Water has always made me feel good – credit to the water sign I am 🙂 . Even though we were having a lot of fun, it was time for us to head to Coogee as well.

We reached Coogee just on time for breakfast at around 10 AM (Yes, we Indians have breakfast a little late 😛 ). After a heavy breakfast, we chilled out by the Coogee beach.

All in all, it was a wonderful morning. The walk was refreshing and breath taking. It is for sure a must-do in Sydney.
