I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of graffiti adorning the streets of Adelaide. Nearly every street in the city boasted at least one striking mural. Perhaps that’s a slight exaggeration, but it felt that way! These artworks were large, colourful, and incredibly eye-catching. Despite the city’s quiet atmosphere—hardly any people or cars in sight when I strolled through at 11:30 AM on a Saturday—I found myself drawn to Adelaide’s charm, largely thanks to its impressive street art.
Did you know that Melbourne also has streets dedicated to street art? One notable example is Hosier Lane, where you’ll find an eclectic array of urban artworks waiting to be explored.
